Description

Tortilla Pizza Rolls Snack is a quick and easy appetizer that combines the classic flavors of pizza with the convenience of a tortilla wrap. These cheesy, pepperoni-packed rolls are perfect for serving as a snack or party finger food. Baked to golden perfection with a crispy outside and melty cheese inside, they are delicious on their own or served with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Ingredients

Scale

Rolls

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mini pepperoni slices or chopped pepperoni
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Topping

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or melted butter
  • Grated Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ease cleanup.
  2. Prepare Tortillas: Lay each flour tortilla flat on a clean surface. Spread about 2 tablespoons of pizza sauce evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges to avoid overflow during baking.
  3. Add Toppings: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce on each tortilla. Then add mini pepperoni slices or chopped pepperoni evenly on top. Sprinkle dried oregano and garlic powder over the toppings for added flavor.
  4. Roll Tortillas: Carefully roll each tortilla tightly into a log shape. Place each roll seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet to prevent the roll from unwrapping during baking.
  5. Brush and Top: Lightly brush the tops of the rolls with olive oil or melted butter to promote browning and add flavor. If desired, sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese on top for an extra cheesy crust.
  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the tortillas are golden brown and the cheese inside is fully melted and bubbly.
  7. Cool and Serve: Remove the rolls from the oven and allow them to cool for a few minutes. Slice into bite-sized rolls and serve warm with extra pizza sauce for dipping.

Notes

  • You can customize the filling by adding vegetables such as mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives for more variety and nutrition.
  • For extra crispiness, after baking, pan-fry the rolls seam-side down in a skillet for a few minutes until the bottom is golden and crunchy.
  • These pizza rolls are best enjoyed fresh while warm to keep the cheese melted and flavors vibrant.
