Description

These Spinach Dip Cheese Crisps are a quick, flavorful snack combining gooey mozzarella and Parmesan with nutritious spinach and savory spices. Baked until golden and crisp, they make a perfect low-carb appetizer or snack that pairs wonderfully with dips or enjoyed on their own.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese

Vegetables & Spices

  • 1/2 cup frozen spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine shredded mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, thawed and drained spinach, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using; mix thoroughly until well combined.
  3. Form Crisps: Spoon small mounds of the cheese and spinach mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, making sure to leave space between each mound so they can spread slightly while baking.
  4. Bake: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the cheese crisps turn golden brown and crispy.
  5. Cool and Serve: Remove from oven and allow the crisps to cool slightly on the baking sheet before transferring to a serving plate to enjoy.

Notes

  • Make sure the spinach is thoroughly drained to avoid soggy crisps.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a pinch of smoked paprika or Italian seasoning.
  • These crisps are best served fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
  • Use parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking during baking.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred level of heat or omit for a milder version.
