Ingredients
Scale
Frozen Peaches
- 3 cups fresh or frozen peaches, peeled and sliced
Dairy & Sweeteners
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
Flavor Enhancers
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Peaches: If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them, then place the slices in the freezer until they are completely solid. This step ensures the final frozen yogurt will have a creamy texture.
- Blend Ingredients: Add the frozen peaches, plain Greek yogurt, honey or maple syrup, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to a blender or food processor. Blend the mixture until smooth and creamy, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides to incorporate all ingredients evenly. If the mixture is too thick to blend easily, add a small splash of milk to loosen it up.
- Freeze the Mixture: Transfer the blended mixture into a freezer-safe container. Place it in the freezer for about 1 to 2 hours, or until it becomes firm but still scoopable. This chilling step allows the frozen yogurt to set properly while retaining a soft texture.
- Serve: Remove the frozen yogurt from the freezer and let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes if needed to soften slightly. Scoop into bowls and serve chilled. Enjoy your homemade peach frozen yogurt!
Notes
- Use ripe and sweet peaches for the best natural flavor and sweetness.
- For an even smoother texture, let the frozen yogurt sit at room temperature for a few minutes before scooping.
- Feel free to mix in chopped fruits or swirl in fruit puree before freezing for variation and added flavor.
