Ingredients
Scale
Truffle Mixture
- 2 cups white chocolate chips
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup eggnog
- 2 tablespoons rum or bourbon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Coating
- 1 cup crushed graham crackers
Instructions
- Heat cream: In a saucepan, heat the heavy cream over medium heat until it is just simmering, making sure not to let it boil to prevent scorching.
- Melt chocolate: Remove the saucepan from heat and add the white chocolate chips, stirring continuously until the chocolate is fully melted and smoothly blended with the cream.
- Add flavorings: Stir in the eggnog, rum or bourbon, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon until all ingredients are well combined, creating a creamy, spiced mixture.
- Chill mixture: Pour the mixture into a bowl and refrigerate for 2 hours to allow it to firm up enough to handle.
- Form truffles: Once chilled, use a small scoop or spoon to portion out the mixture, then quickly roll each portion into a smooth ball using your hands.
- Coat truffles: Roll each truffle ball in the crushed graham crackers to evenly coat them, adding a crunchy texture and extra flavor.
- Firm up truffles: Place the coated truffles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and return them to the refrigerator to chill until firm, about 30 minutes to 1 hour.
Notes
- Use good quality white chocolate for the creamiest texture and best flavor.
- For a non-alcoholic version, omit the rum or bourbon and add an extra teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
- Serve chilled for the best texture and flavor experience.
- You can substitute the crushed graham crackers with finely chopped nuts or cocoa powder for a different coating.
