Wet Ingredients
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 50g all-purpose flour
- 150g hazelnuts, chopped
Instructions

- Add Sugar: Remove the bowl from heat and stir in the sugar until well combined and slightly cooled.
- Incorporate Eggs: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition to ensure a smooth mixture.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: Gently fold in the flour, chopped hazelnuts, and vanilla extract until the batter is evenly combined.
- Prepare Baking Dish: Line a baking dish with parchment paper and pour the batter into it, spreading evenly.
- Bake: Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool and Serve: Allow the baked squares to cool completely in the dish before cutting into 16 squares and serving.
Notes
- Use good quality dark chocolate (at least 60-70% cocoa) for the richest flavor.
- Chopping hazelnuts roughly adds texture; you can toast them slightly for extra nuttiness.
- Ensure eggs are added one at a time to prevent curdling.
- For easier cutting, chill the squares in the refrigerator before slicing.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or refrigerate for up to a week.
