Ingredients
Scale
Burger Patties
- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 2 tbsp teriyaki sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For Serving
- Burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and other toppings (optional)
Instructions
- Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the ground beef, teriyaki sauce, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until all ingredients are evenly combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat to keep the patties tender.
- Shape Patties: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. Shape each portion gently into a round burger patty about 3/4 inch thick, making sure they are evenly sized for uniform cooking.
- Cook Patties: Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 4 to 5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 4 to 5 minutes, or until they reach your desired doneness (internal temperature of 160°F for well-done beef).
- Toast Buns: While the burgers finish cooking, place the burger buns cut side down on the grill or skillet. Toast for 1 to 2 minutes until lightly crisp and golden brown.
- Assemble Burgers: Place the cooked burger patties on the toasted buns. Add lettuce, tomato, and any additional preferred toppings. Serve immediately while hot and juicy.
Notes
- Use 80% lean ground beef to maintain juiciness without too much fat.
- Feel free to add other seasonings like smoked paprika or chili flakes for extra flavor.
- For a gluten-free version, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or crushed gluten-free crackers.
- Ensure that the burger patties are uniformly thick for even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to check for safe internal temperature (160°F) when cooking ground beef.
