Description

Sausage-Egg-and-Cheese Breakfast Roll-Ups are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast option featuring scrambled eggs, savory sausage links, and melted cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for busy mornings or make-ahead meals, these roll-ups deliver a satisfying combination of flavors and textures that the whole family will enjoy.

Ingredients

Scale

Roll-Up Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 fully cooked breakfast sausage links
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • optional chopped chives or parsley for garnish

Egg Mixture

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
  2. Prepare Egg Mixture: In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper thoroughly to combine all ingredients uniformly.
  3. Scramble Eggs: Melt butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Pour in the egg mixture and gently scramble until the eggs are just set and fluffy, then remove the skillet from heat to prevent overcooking.
  4. Prepare Crescent Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles, ready to be filled.
  5. Assemble Roll-Ups: On the wide end of each dough triangle, place a spoonful of scrambled eggs, one fully cooked sausage link, and a sprinkle of shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Roll the Dough: Carefully roll up each triangle starting from the wide end to the point, fully encasing the filling inside the dough.
  7. Bake: Place the assembled roll-ups on the prepared baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, optionally garnish with chopped chives or parsley, and serve warm for a satisfying breakfast treat.

Notes

  • You can substitute the sausage with cooked bacon or vegetarian sausage alternatives for variety or dietary preferences.
  • Try using pepper jack or mozzarella cheese instead of cheddar for a different flavor profile.
  • These roll-ups can be frozen after baking and reheated quickly for a convenient make-ahead breakfast option.
