Scale
Pizza Base
- 1 ball pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce and Toppings
- ½ cup ranch dressing or garlic white sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- â…“ cup dill pickles, sliced thin (chips or sandwich slices)
- 1 teaspoon dried dill or Italian seasoning
- Crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Parmesan cheese for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it inside the oven to heat up along with the oven for a crispier crust.
- Prepare Dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12 to 14-inch circle. Transfer the rolled dough to a pizza pan or the preheated pizza stone. Lightly brush the edges of the dough with olive oil for a golden finish.
- Add Sauce: Evenly spread the ranch dressing or garlic white sauce over the surface of the dough, leaving a small border around the edges to allow for crust expansion.
- Top the Pizza: Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the sauce, then distribute the thinly sliced dill pickles on top. Finish with a sprinkle of dried dill or Italian seasoning for added flavor.
- Bake: Place the pizza in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and let it rest for 2 to 3 minutes. Add crushed red pepper flakes and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese if desired. Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Use bread-and-butter pickles for a sweet-and-savory flavor or spicy pickles to add a kick.
- A garlic white sauce can be used instead of ranch for a different flavor profile.
- Crushed red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese are optional but add extra heat and richness.
- For crispier crust, use a preheated pizza stone.
