Ingredients
Scale
Carrots
- 1 1/2 pounds carrots, peeled and cut into sticks
Glaze and Seasoning
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Carrots: Peel the carrots and cut them into sticks of uniform size to ensure even cooking.
- Mix the Glaze: In a large bowl, combine olive oil, honey, balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Whisk together until the mixture is well blended.
- Toss the Carrots: Add the carrot sticks to the bowl and toss thoroughly so each piece is evenly coated with the honey balsamic glaze.
- Roast the Carrots: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the coated carrots in a single layer. Roast in the oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through cooking, until the carrots are tender and caramelized.
- Garnish and Serve: Transfer the roasted carrots to a serving dish, sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley, and serve immediately while hot.
Notes
- For extra caramelization, you can broil the carrots for 2-3 minutes at the end of roasting.
- Adjust honey quantity for a sweeter or less sweet glaze depending on taste.
- Use fresh garlic instead of garlic powder for a more robust flavor if desired.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days and reheated gently.
- This recipe is naturally gluten-free and vegetarian.
