Ingredients
Scale
Slider Base
- 1 package (12-count) Hawaiian sweet rolls
Beef Mixture
- 1 pound ground beef
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup finely diced onion
Toppings & Finishing
- 6 slices cheddar or American cheese
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise (optional)
- 1 tablespoon ketchup (optional)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- Sliced pickles (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish to prepare for baking the sliders.
- Cook Beef Mixture: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef with diced onions, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir occasionally until the beef is fully browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease from the pan.
- Prepare Rolls: Slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls horizontally, keeping them attached as a whole slab. Place the bottom half of the roll slab into the greased baking dish evenly.
- Assemble Sliders: Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the bottom half of the rolls. If using, spread ketchup and/or mayonnaise over the beef layer. Then place the cheese slices on top evenly.
- Top and Butter: Carefully place the top half of the rolls over the cheese. Brush the entire top with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds over the top if desired for added flavor and texture.
- Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish loosely with foil and bake for 10 minutes to melt the cheese and warm through.
- Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes until the top is golden brown and bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm. Add sliced pickles if you like for extra crunch and tang.
Notes
- Great for parties or game day snacks.
- Try swapping cheddar or American cheese for your favorite cheese variety.
- Add sautéed mushrooms or crispy bacon for extra flavor.
- Keep sliders warm by covering with foil until ready to serve.
