Description

Garlic Butter Steak Tips with Cheesy Rigatoni is a hearty and flavorful American main course combining tender, perfectly seared steak pieces tossed in garlic butter with a rich, creamy cheesy rigatoni pasta. This comforting skillet dish is ideal for a satisfying dinner that brings together savory steak and decadent pasta in one plate.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak Tips:

  • 1 ½ pounds sirloin or ribeye steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

For the Cheesy Rigatoni:

  • 12 oz rigatoni pasta
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook rigatoni according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Make the Cheese Sauce: In a saucepan, melt 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute. Slowly whisk in milk and bring to a gentle simmer, stirring constantly until thickened. Add mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy. Remove from heat and cover to keep warm.
  3. Cook the Steak Tips: Season steak pieces with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear steak tips in a single layer for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and medium-rare or preferred doneness. Cook in batches if necessary. Reduce heat to medium, add butter and garlic to the skillet, and stir until fragrant and melted. Toss steak tips to coat in the garlic butter. Add Worcestershire sauce and cook 1 more minute. Remove from heat.
  4. Assemble: Divide cheesy rigatoni onto plates or bowls. Top with garlic butter steak tips and drizzle with extra pan sauce. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For extra richness, add a splash of cream to the cheese sauce.
  • You can swap rigatoni with penne or shells if desired.
