Description

This Cheesy Chive Warm Dip is a creamy, savory appetizer perfect for parties or casual gatherings. Blending sharp cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses with cream cheese and sour cream, it’s flavored with fresh chives, garlic, and a hint of spice. Baked until bubbly and golden, it pairs beautifully with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for a deliciously comforting snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Cheese and Dairy

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Herbs and Seasonings

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh chives (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Optional: ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a kick

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the dip.
  2. Mix Cream and Cheeses: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy, creating a rich base for the dip.
  3. Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in the shredded sharp cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan cheeses, chopped chives, minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
  4. Transfer to Baking Dish: Spoon the cheese mixture into a small oven-safe baking dish. Smooth out the top with a spatula for even baking and presentation.
  5. Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes. The dip should be hot, bubbly, and the top lightly golden when done.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and garnish with extra chopped fresh chives. Serve the warm dip immediately with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • You can prepare the dip ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
  • For extra flavor, stir in cooked crumbled bacon or caramelized onions before baking.
  • To add a spicy kick, incorporate diced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
