Ingredients
Scale
Cheese and Dairy
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Herbs and Seasonings
- ¼ cup chopped fresh chives (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- Optional: ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for a kick
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure it’s ready for baking the dip.
- Mix Cream and Cheeses: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese and sour cream. Stir until the mixture is smooth and creamy, creating a rich base for the dip.
- Add Remaining Ingredients: Stir in the shredded sharp cheddar, mozzarella, Parmesan cheeses, chopped chives, minced garlic, onion powder, black pepper, and salt. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well combined.
- Transfer to Baking Dish: Spoon the cheese mixture into a small oven-safe baking dish. Smooth out the top with a spatula for even baking and presentation.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 20–25 minutes. The dip should be hot, bubbly, and the top lightly golden when done.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove the dip from the oven and garnish with extra chopped fresh chives. Serve the warm dip immediately with crackers, toasted baguette slices, or fresh vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- You can prepare the dip ahead of time and refrigerate it until ready to bake.
- For extra flavor, stir in cooked crumbled bacon or caramelized onions before baking.
- To add a spicy kick, incorporate diced jalapeños or crushed red pepper flakes.
