Ingredients
Scale
Flatbread Base
- 2 flatbreads (14.5 ounces total)
- 2 teaspoons light olive oil
Toppings
- 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (more to taste)
- 1 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken (approximately 3/4 pounds)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/3 cup blue cheese dressing
- 1/3 cup sliced green onions (about 3 green onions)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F to prepare for baking the flatbreads.
- Prepare Flatbreads: Place the flatbreads on a parchment paper-lined sheet pan. Lightly brush the edges of each flatbread with light olive oil to help crisp and add flavor during baking.
- Warm Flatbreads: Bake the oiled flatbreads for 5 minutes until they are warmed through and slightly crisp around the edges. This helps create a sturdy base for toppings.
- Add Buffalo Sauce and Toppings: Remove flatbreads from the oven and evenly spread buffalo wing sauce over each one. Then, distribute the diced cooked chicken and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top. Drizzle the blue cheese dressing over the entire surface for a creamy, tangy finish.
- Bake to Melt Cheese: Return the topped flatbreads to the oven and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned and the cheese is melted and bubbly. For an extra golden and slightly crispy cheese top, broil on high for 1 to 2 minutes but watch closely to avoid burning.
- Finish and Serve: Remove the flatbreads from the oven and immediately sprinkle sliced green onions over the top. Add additional buffalo sauce and blue cheese dressing if desired for extra flavor. Slice and serve warm for a delicious, spicy treat.
Notes
- You can adjust the amount of buffalo wing sauce to control the spice level according to your taste.
- Use cooked chicken leftovers or rotisserie chicken to save prep time.
- For a crispier crust, use a pizza stone or preheat the baking sheet before placing the flatbreads on it.
- If blue cheese dressing is not preferred, ranch dressing can be used as a milder alternative.
- Keep a close watch when broiling to prevent burning the cheese toppings.
