Description

This Big Mac Pizza combines the savory flavors of a classic cheeseburger with the cheesy goodness of pizza. Featuring a crispy pizza crust topped with seasoned ground beef, melted cheddar and mozzarella cheeses, and finished with classic Big Mac toppings like Thousand Island dressing, dill pickles, onions, and shredded lettuce, this unique twist on pizza is perfect for burger and pizza lovers alike.

Ingredients

Scale

Pizza Base

  • 1 pound pizza dough
  • olive oil for brushing crust
  • sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Beef Topping

  • ½ pound ground beef
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Cheese & Sauce

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing

Fresh Toppings

  • ½ cup chopped dill pickles
  • ¼ cup diced onions
  • 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven and Prepare Dough: Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into a 12–14 inch round shape. Transfer the rolled dough to a greased baking sheet or a pizza stone. Brush the edges of the crust with olive oil and sprinkle sesame seeds over the crust edges if desired.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef seasoned with salt and black pepper. Stir occasionally until fully browned and cooked through. Drain off any excess fat and set the beef aside to cool slightly.
  3. Assemble the Pizza: Evenly spread the Thousand Island dressing over the rolled-out dough, leaving about a 1-inch border around the edges uncovered. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheeses evenly over the dressing. Then, distribute the cooked ground beef evenly on top of the cheese layer.
  4. Bake the Pizza: Place the assembled pizza in the preheated oven and bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust turns golden brown and the cheeses have fully melted and are bubbly.
  5. Add Fresh Toppings and Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven and immediately top it with the chopped dill pickles, diced onions, and shredded iceberg lettuce. Slice the pizza into 8 pieces and serve warm for the best flavor experience.

Notes

  • For a spicy kick, add sliced jalapeños or drizzle with spicy mayo before serving.
  • Use pre-baked flatbread or naan as a faster alternative to pizza dough.
  • Be sure to drain excess fat from the cooked ground beef to prevent soggy pizza.
  • Adding sesame seeds to the crust mimics the classic Big Mac bun appearance.
