Ingredients
Scale
Fries
- 2 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 1 1/2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Toppings
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic (optional, for extra flavor)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Fries: Rinse and dry the cut fries thoroughly to remove excess starch. Place them in a large bowl and toss with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 3 minutes to ensure even cooking.
- Air Fry the Fries: Arrange the fries in a single layer in the air fryer basket, cooking in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Cook for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to promote even crisping.
- Add Parmesan and Garlic: Immediately after cooking, toss the hot fries with grated Parmesan cheese and optional minced garlic to coat them evenly with flavor.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the fries with chopped fresh parsley for color and freshness before serving them hot for maximum crispiness and flavor.
Notes
- For extra crispy fries, soak the cut potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before drying thoroughly and seasoning.
- Using freshly grated Parmesan cheese provides the best flavor, but pre-grated Parmesan works well too.
- Cook fries in batches if your air fryer basket is small to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
- Optional minced garlic can be added after cooking for a more intense garlic flavor.
